Isolate
An interesting new puzzle, created by Laurence May, which should appeal to lovers of Japanese puzzles. The puzzle is controlled by the area sizes specified beside each grid. In most Japanese puzzles of this ilk, the puzzles are self-contained, but in this case, the flexibility that is offered by these external parameters compensates for any aesthetic disappointment.
Laurence says:
"Isolate was inspired by the random pattern made by two different coloured tiles on a swimming-pool wall. Originally, the puzzle was going to involve placing different shapes into a grid so that each shape covered two dots however this quickly changed to make the puzzle more compact."
Instructions
Draw walls to partition the grid so that each area contains two dotted squares.
Area sizes must match those shown below the grid and each + must be linked to at least two walls.
