Start To Finish

This puzzle, another of the many slight variations on the straight crossword, features only answers that start and end with the same letter. Solvers have plenty of help in the puzzle, getting two-for-one in the grid, whenever a start or end letter is revealed by an intersecting answer.

The danger for this puzzle is in having high proportions of words ending (and therefore also starting) with certain very common last letters such as S, D and E. Good setters will be careful to include words with less common endings. It also helps to include proper nouns (there are plenty of helpful A to A places), and phrases to avoid the puzzle becoming stale.
